Almost all of our beliefs rely on memory, and in many (most?) cases, we don’t remember the justification for those beliefs; we only remember the belief itself. For instance, I know that the Constitution was written in 1787, but I have no memory of how or when I learned that. I guess I learned it from some adult when I was a child, but I don’t remember when that happened. I think I’ve also heard it corroborated many times since then, but I don’t specifically remember any of those occasions either.
