Quantum Mysteries (video)
I'm now uploading videos from my other course last semester, which was Philosophy of Science. First video: https://youtu.be/4ktubnphla4
TL;DW: The weirdness of quantum mechanics derives from some interesting experiments, such as the "double slit experiment", that have very surprising results. In some cases, it looks as if adding an additional path by which a result could come about can decrease the probability of the result. I discuss a simple example (from David Albert's Quantum Mechanics & Experience) involving electron spin. These experiments lead people to posit "superpositions", in which an object has indeterminate properties, e.g., an object is known to be within some region but is not in any particular, definite part of the region.
